Kanbo is an AI-powered project management tool built for small teams. We took everything frustrating about enterprise tools and removed it.
Why we built Kanbo
We were a small dev team using Jira. Five people, thousands of fields we never touched, a permission system designed for Fortune 500 companies, and an admin panel that needed its own training course. We switched to Trello — simpler, but too basic once we needed custom workflows and analytics.
So we built Kanbo: a kanban tool that gives small teams the power features they actually need (custom workflows, AI ticket writing, analytics, API access) without the complexity they don't (role hierarchies, 200-field forms, enterprise SSO configuration).
Today, Kanbo is used by freelancers, startups, and small teams who want to spend less time managing tools and more time shipping product. Our MCP server lets AI agents like Claude and Cursor manage your board directly — because the future of project management is AI-native.
